Today the video of Heavy by Lauri got released and I love it! It's so much better then any of the videos The Rasmus made. I love it that the video is a bit vague and insane. I adore Amanda, she is so cute! And except for the pants, Lauri looks totally handsome... must love the feathers! To be honest this is the most interesting music video I've seen for quiet a while. I hate it when bands/artists over do it...
Well enjoy! and feel free to share your opinion

Addictive...
I've never ever been so addicted to a song I don't even know why?
I totally love the lyrics and the music but I it's not the best I've ever heard... It doesn't make sense but every time when I open window media player i type in "Heavy Lauri Yl" and press play..
I guess it's just because it's finally something new from one of my favorite four artists and that it sounds so like The Rasmus...
But I like my addiction since it's (not yet) unhealthy.
Someone of you addicted to a certain song?

Heavy...
I so love this song.... I'm not a big fan of electro pop but this is awesome. It sounds so much like the Rasmus... The lyrics, how the song is build up and even the music although there aren't guitars...
And the lyrics are so beautiful!
Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!

To write, wrote, written...
I really should start writing again... I have so many ideas in my head, both fanfiction and my own storythingy but everytime I try to start on it, someone blocks. I just can't cant find a good first sentence/paragraph and this is really important since that's the first thing of the book you read anyway.
I'd love to write some English fanfiction but it's so hard because I don't know enough synonyms and I still make grammar mistakes (obviously, since I still make some minor mistakes in dutch as well)

and it reads so hard and boring xD, But there are not so many dutch speaking people interested in good fanfiction (damn... did I just said, between the lines, that my fanfiction is good? Omg I'm getting arrogant!).
For the “book” I want to write I made a map and I have my main plot. Also I was thinking to add some history of the world where it takes place. Just brief, nothing to detailed since I think it's very boring except if it's relevant to the story.
But how do you people like to read it? In an apart section (prologue or something) or during the story itself?

I can't open any of my documents atm because they are all in word format and I don't have word anymore because I formatted my laptop. I need to find my codes again (shouldn't be too difficult) and download it so I can start writing again.
Tips or opinions are very welcome!

Nerd talk: game rant
Lately the only thing I’ve done was: horse riding, gaming and browsing sites to find a job. Damn, my life is so interesting!
So about what can I write a blog? Well gaming it is!
I don't consider myself as a hardcore gamer but neither as a casual gamer, so I think just gamer will do. I really dislike people who think that they are pro at some game while they are not. You are not a pro until you earn money with it. Too many people think that they are pro and those people are in my eyes a bit arrogant.
Pro gaming seems boring to me because than my hobby will turn into a profession and games become competitions. I don't want to play a game and think: I need to be the best so I can make a lot of money out of it. The fun will be gone for me.
I absolutely love rpg's (role playing games) and I'm always trying to find new ones, but I prefer games with good graphics. I do like to play some sim(ultaion) games from time to time or a good adventure or hack & slash game is welcome as well, I complete suck in shooters. I'm way too careful and always afraid to get shot. I prefer to play online because you can interact with the whole world and work together to complete certain tasks.
I love to play games on computer or a handhold console (I have a ds) but I don't often play a console. I costs way too much money, the games are way more expensive and the most games I like are for pc anyway. Of course there are exceptions, but it's stupid to spend a shitload on money to a console just to be able to play a game or two.
No computer is my favorite platform.

What I hate is that the media often give games a bad reputation, especially shooters and mmo's (massive multiplayer online). Al the stupid talk that you can get addicted and that games can influence you and blabla.
I've played games (especially Word of Warcraft) for 12 hours or more a day if I had the time and I had nothing else to do, but that doesn't make me addicted. I had never ever any problems to stop gaming and I never missed it when I couldn't play (unless I was very bored). The only thing some people don't understand is that you play with other people and you plan to do stuff with them. If you plan to go out with your friends and you just don't show up, then won't be happy (unless you are very unloved by those “friends”). Same case ingame. If you don't show up when you said you would, those people will get angry/disappointed to. The worst they can do is ignore you and kick you out of the guild, but it's just a matter of manners to make sure you can show up or let them know you won’t make it.
Now about violent games (most games have violence in them, in some way). How stupid can you be to blame a game when someone killed somebody? If you think the games is real, if you think you can get away with killing people and stuff, there is something wrong in your head (or your education) and not with the games.
I personally think it will be very boring to create a game where you have to dance someone to dead! How stupid can it be? I don't think gamers will like that. Monsters die because you hurt them, because you hex them, curse them, shop them into tiny pieces... not because you do a great dance demonstration.

I'm a complete nerd and I'm proud of it. (damn I'm randomly jumping from one subject to another xD whatever!) I'd rather game then go to a stupid party and get drunk and dance all night on music I don't like. My friends like to party but my idea of going out is going to hang out in some nice pubs or if the weather is good, sit on a nice spot with a bottle of booze.
So my boyfriend and I spend a lot of nights gaming and being all nerdy. I love to collect game related stuff, especially art. But the nice art-books and cool figurines mostly come with the expensive collectors editions of games... muuh me doesn't like that.
I'm a perfectionist in games. Everything must be as I want it to be. I need to have good looking gear and if don't get it, I can be pissed (but that lasts about maximum ten minutes) and when something doesn't work out as I wanted it to or I failed to complete a quest or something, I can get very angry if I'm tired or if I'm in a bad mood until I release I'm erasing the fun out of the game by acting totally stupid about some pixels!

And o how I hate show offs (yup in games there are tons of them... I hate them all). They think they are the best thing around because they have the best stuff, but most of the times these guys are the biggest arrogant bastards with no life (there are exceptions).
Online gaming can be pretty ruff sometimes. People tend to be less friendly because no one knows them and they can hide behind there avatar so if you want to play mmo's, you really need to be able to or ignore those arrogant people or come up for yourself, but that's not so easy when you are walking around in a digital world hehe.

Omg blog is getting long... I'm boring you already way too long.
I would love to know your opinions about gaming!
Do you guys game? What is you're favorite game(genre)/platform?
And what do you think about the fact that games get often a bad reputation in the media?

Short first impressions of Risen + Arcania
I’ve tried out two games this week: Risen and Arcania (Gothic 4) and I both like them! Arcania has such beautiful graphics! I really love the gameplay and the voice acting. I loved it that you begin as a shepherd in the game. It’s really funny and original. TRhe frist thing you basically see are very fluffy sheeps!
Risen has a nice gameplay as well, but the graphics are not as pretty as in Arcania. You start out as you wake up on an island after a shipwreck and with the help of a tutorial you find some meat, learn to cook it and you find a friendly stranger who helps you out.

I would really love to play these games, but I don’t have the money to buy them (well I do have the money, but I want to save it)
Guess I have to wait a while before I can play them….

Short one
Time for a short blog:
I’m redecorating my room a bit since I get a new cd/dvd/game and book closet and my room is starting to look a bit better now. I’ll put online some pictures when it is finished.
Today my mother and father decided to come and see my horse riding lesson. It was a big step for my mother to be around horses again just as it was a big step for me, and she totally fell in love with them all over again.
But who doesn’t love horses? (Except people who don’t like animals in general).

I’m still very frustrated that I can’t find a damn job. I really want one! Seems I need to scan the whole internet again… jippie.

Random rant!
I decide while I have to wait half an hour before I can continue watching stuff on megavideo (stupit 72 minutes limit) to do some random ranting.
To start with is that I’m getting really frustrating. I can’t seem to find a job and I get almost no answers. I’m starting to look for part-time jobs as well but it has to have at least 20 hours else I won’t make enough money to buy/take care of a horse.
Tomorrow I have to go to sbs again (uugh I hate those damn skillbuilders). It’(s so boring and it’s not helping at all. Not for me.

My boyfriend (omg… fiancĂ©e!) and I are both jobless so we are both bored at home For the first few days it’s so much fun but it’s growing very boring now. We sit in our room all day, tiding the room or play games. How excited is that huh?!
Last Sunday I had 2 horse riding lessons. 1 in group and 1 private (normally the private one was from my boyfriend, but he didn’t like horse riding much). The group one was way too easy for me. I don’t want to be arrogant, but I ride way better then the little kids in the beginners group. It’s really funny that they can’t handle their horse/pony. The figures were so easy and instead of just following the others, some kids managed to steer there horse to the complete wrong way.
The private lesson in the evening was so awesome! I was riding Laro, a very good looking brown horse. At first I didn’t liked him much. It just didn’t feel right and I hate the leather saddle… It doesn’t sit so good.
When we started trotting and he was becoming very forward, the fun started. Laro tried to take control, but I made sure he knew that I was leading. During trotting, he gave in and relaxed completely and slowly he came down (don’t know the right term in English, but in Dutch is is called aan de teugel lopen) and it felt so good. The gallop went very smooth as well, but he throws up a lot higher that the horse I used to ride. I needed to change direction due riding a diagonal from k to m (I think it was) in gallop. At x (the middle) I needed to take him back and trot until m and then in the corner of m and c I needed to start galloping again. Big fail! I lost my balance and due that I couldn’t bring Laro in a good gallop. Back to trotting then. It was a difficult exercise, but very fun!
I hope I ride on him again during the next group lesson Sunday and hopefully Ican go to the next group then!

Last part I want to include in this blog is about my favorite musicians soloalbum. The first 30 seconds of his single (Heavy) can be found on youtube. I listen to it and I didn’t know what to think of it. I’m used to him singing and making rockmusic with The Rasmus but this was elctropop. His voiced sounded very good (duh!) but I don’t know if I like the music… I really need to hear the whole song!
In September the band (The rasmus that is)promised that we would hear more details about their upcoming album in the spring but it seems that it is already postponed to the summer and they plan for the album to be released in the fall… how awful. They better make it worthwhile!

OH MY GOD!!!
Omg the most insane thing just happened to me: I’m engaged o_o I’m going to marry my BF... It just sounds weird saying it.... but it is awesome! I’m so happy!
My BF wanted to ask me last night, but he forgot the ring (haha…) and so he asked me in his room, (totally not romantic but hey!) and of course I said yes…. I really didn’t see it coming but I’m so happy!

Birthday Blog
It’s been too long that I had time to update my blog and now I’m running behind with the Photo challenge thingy, but who cares!
I had an awesome day! I had breakfast in bed and I’ve been lazy all morning. When I finally got up, my boyfriend and I went to Antwerp because it was such a nice day! Almost springlike!
We did some “shopping” and we went to have some lunch. After that we hung around a bit and then we went to the theatre for a movie: Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera.
It was an awesome, very relaxing movie! My BF finally likes burlesque concept (yah!) . In the movie was drama, romance, humor, music, dance and of course lovely costumes! I really had a great time and it’s been a while since I saw a movie with a lot of dancing and music that I actually like!

Design Your Universe
We're blind and eager
Avarice will set us back to blank
Those who wager all will have to name a reason
If you can't let go, you will end up empty handed
If you can't control, you'll live your life in vain
Who decides about my time to come?
Who is able to break through the circle of life and doom?
Don't look back
Keep on track to break the curse
Take the chance
Design your universe
We can't undo what we have done
So show us now what we've become
Confront us with our viciousness
And our weakness
We can't evade our destiny
So show responsibility
For we all surely have a sense
Of our consciousness
To take for taking's sake
Will leave a path of loss and strain
And endless breaking of faith can warrant acts of treason
If you can't let go, you will end up empty handed
If you can't control, you'll live your life in vain
Who decides about what's true or false?
Who is able to sift through the treasures from the flukes?
The time has come, we have to see
That total wisdom is in reach
The time has come to colour in the lines
We must identify the signs
So many people are full of hate
While love and light are in their reach
So many people will harm themselves
But life can be so beautiful
So many people will idolize
While their own success is in their reach
Don't forget you're able to
Design your own universe
Find your balance, sink into rumination
Ipsum te reperies
Potire mundorum
Potire omnis mun
